My Second Half

In this deeply personal memoir, Sarah L. Tringhese invites readers on an intimate journey through her darkest days.
Throughout her life, she has endured profound trauma—but over time, learned to transform her pain into purpose. After reaching a breaking point, Sarah made life-altering choices that began to shape the second half of her story.

Every trial she faced, including her young daughter’s brain tumor diagnosis, played a role in shaping the woman she is today. The lessons she learned along the way continue to guide her daily life.

This memoir is more than Sarah’s story—it’s a powerful
testament to how God shows up in our suffering and transforms it into purpose.

A book for parents, survivors, and anyone standing at the edge of their own “second half,” wondering if healing is still possible.

It is. Sarah is living proof.

This memoir is so well written that it’s easy to fall into, yet heartbreaking because the truth within it is heavy and honest. It was a joy to read and experience because it’s real and vulnerable. While reading I couldn’t help to wonder how someone can endure so much and still come out stronger, and then use their pain to reach and inspire others. This was such a powerful memoir and one I’ll recommend over and over. I guarantee every reader will find something in this book that stays with them after the last page.

This is a real life bio about a young women who became a wife, and then a mother and the struggles and challenges that she confronted head on with her family and her faith. The book demonstrates that through faith we gain strength and with strength, our faith grows stronger. Reading Sarah's book gives one a deeper appreciation of the cards that are dealt to parents of young children who are diagnosed with inoperable cancer....the despair...the pain...the anger...the frustrations..and the mental and physical exhaustion. I encourage others, especially parents with children, to read this book. It offers a clear message that through one's faith , life's struggles , which can sometimes overwhelm all of us, can be understood , managed, and overcome .

Well written with humor, honesty, reality and a deep acknowledgement that Jesus is with each of us every step on our journey. When things are hard, He carries us and walks beside us as we get strong.

I DEVOURED this book in 3.5 hours. I have never read anything so powerful. I connected with so many parts of this story. Sarah’s story has parts that will connect with every woman/ mother. I cannot recommend this book more. Everyone should read it and take in its power. She breaks down traumatic experiences she’s had in her life. She talks about the things none of us talk about. She shares the power of God and how he really is the one pulling the strings. I know I’ll digest this for a little while, then read it again.
